ABOUT
My name is Ajay and I use he or they pronouns. As a giving person who has been influenced profoundly by other healers and mentors, I feel like this profession chose me.
I provide individual and relational counseling to those living in Oregon and Washington. I approach each session in a culturally competent, trauma-informed, warm and compassionate way. I strive to create an environment in which people can discuss their fears, beliefs, hopes, and dreams. In my therapy practice, no topic is off-limits. I have a systemic approach, which means examining your life experiences in connection with your identities, relationships, environments, and so on. Together, we will create a fuller understanding of your story.
As an activist who specializes in areas of power, privilege, and difference, I want to use what I have learned to connect with others who feel voiceless. It is my goal to inspire others to realize their own voice and enrich their life.
I am a first-generation-born American, with family roots in North India and Pakistan. I have previously lived in Philadelphia and Minneapolis, as well as a brief stint in France. As a person who cares a lot about my health and wellness, I enjoy cycling and various forms of body movement (but I am known to spend hours on Netflix and/or YouTube). I am a vegan who is very enthusiastic about fruit, and I tend to geek out on astrology, herbalism, meditation, stones, and chakra frequencies.
